Charon is an exhibition project by visual artists Marta Di Donna, Francesca Mussi and Vincenzo Zancana. They work on some environmental issues such as forest fires, deforestation and landscape change in the contemporary Anthropocene.

They exhibit their first installation in 2018 a Spazio Serra (Milan) following a period in Italy in which 74,965 hectares of forest were lost and burned in just seven months. The intervention in the former newsstand consisted of taking carbonised material directly from the field, before the land reclamation action, in collaboration with the Ersaf environmental body. The second exhibition Ferocia Illuminata in 2021, it is being built in the space of Kunschscau in Lecce, in which the by now very sad reality of the desiccation of the olive trees is the backdrop. The observer enters the space immersing himself in an aggressive red color and is faced with an unsolved question, which concerns the man trapped in the problem generated by himself: Cui Prodest? â€‹Among other projects they participated in 2021 at the Cernusco Design Weekend presenting the series of limited edition screen prints ANABASI and the first edition of Atfest in Lecce.

In 2024, they present a new installation at Spazio Lampo, exploring the concept of boundaries through the mythological figure of Negus. Massive iron profiles divide the space, destabilizing the idea of an enclosed environment. The site-specific installation, accompanied by the sound composition Stealing the Limits by John Mirabel, creates an immersive experience in which Negus, free from borders, embarks on a journey of self-discovery. The theft of a bell becomes a symbol of the absurdity of the barriers imposed by humans.
