/ TRANS_FORMATE /
The personal monologue protagonist of the work / TRANS_FORMATE / is inspired by the events of Pasquale Rotondi. Art historian of the 20th century, he is remembered for his rescue of more than ten thousand works of art during the Second World War. The narration unfolds within some graffiti illustrations related to prints of different nature . Images of abandoned places in the Italian territory and of missing works of art, taken from the state archive, suggest a shift from the events in the war period.
The concept of "disappearance" is redefined and interpreted as an act of transformation. A process made possible especially with the advent of digital. The archives born from the net collect the testimonies of the past, transforming it into code, writing and information. The web proves to be the only opportunity in which to experience vanished realities
